Running Around, With The Fox And The Hound
As Submitted To The Poetry Of The Hunt Challenge

Moving and shaking around town
A life loving enthusiastic hound
Looking for fun
With some
One
Who was frisky and free
Enjoying special moments, was a key
Enter the fox
Red hair wearing white socks
Romantically, enchanting, listening to kitty kat's clock
Go tick tock
Window shopping the feed store
Handler of the hound, held the door
Suddenly the fox ran by
Making the hound perk up and cry
“Excuse me, needs to be addressed
Take a second ‘confess’.
Basic manors would be nice
And doesn’t cost a price.”
Turning around grinning
The fox knew she was winning
Until dawn broke
And the hound awoke
Hearing horns blowing
“Let's get going,”
Rendered a command
And out the boisterous hounds ran
Creating a doggie dog jam
Everyone wore traditional British equestrian attire
Hounds knew better, don’t ask or inquire
“Time to get the red-haired fox
With the white socks”
They all vengefully declared
And off they went, performing the Sunday morning affair
It did not take long
They heard the fox singing a song
Enticing the pack of hounds
Overpower and occupy the ground
Where the fox peacefully relaxed
Not expecting the hound pack’s
Massive attack
“Excuse me”
Announced the fox climbing the nearest tree.
When afternoon came
Accompanied with champagne
The hound realized, the hunt was just a game
Returning to the scene
Where the hounds were mean
The fox saw the hound
And there was a thunderous sound
“You
Both made a mistake
And an apology is what it will take
Mending actions
Stating sorry full retractions,”
An invisible voice bellowed
Hinting the two, “mellow”
Shaking their four paws
Conjuring teasing gravity laws
Drop a single apple in
Tempt the fox and hound, ‘why not experience interspecies sin?’
