Poetry of the Hunt

Elusive and out of reach.

The hunt endures all the same.

-

A simple truth:

one plus one equals two.

Break each piece and now it’s four.

A simple truth answered twice.

-

What is simple is complex.

What is apparent is hidden.

What is believed is known.

What is known is true.

-

Yesterday’s beliefs are today’s truths,

today’s truths are tomorrow’s lies,

tomorrow’s lies and yesterday’s beliefs.

And so it goes, around and around.

-

My truth, your truth, our truth.

Liar, heretic, hypocrite

Seek the truth and set yourself free.

Capture the truth and enslave your mind.

-

Bite the apple,

ignorance is gone.

Join the hunt

that has no end.
