Sensibility

With a twist and a turn Chaos becomes Order

By Katherine D. GrahamPublished 3 years ago 2 min read

The cold air burned. Time slowed down.

Consciousness paused. The unconscious wandered around.

Crystalline diamonds cut the fabric from heaven to earth.

Water was transformed, uniquely transfigured in snow's birth.

.

In life, control by the law of the lever, is strange.

The most simple element, Hydrogen, passively causes vast change.

The original atom Hydrogen, mixes with sulfides from hell,

it binds to metals, creates salts and forms water that makes life jell.

.

Life is the product of elements in a passionate dance.

Formed by a chance glance, they create a whimsical trance.

The power of invisible forces aligned two lives . A poet who knew math

encountered a receptive soul by chance, on the same, less-travelled path.

.

They spoke about the weather, science and then matters at the core.

His spouse had died, his soul was ripped, wounded and sore.

He sang a poem that he wrote for his dearly beloved.

Her essence infused the air, it was alive and hovered.

.

As he spoke of his garden and loving home,

his voice resonated a delicious baritone.

This master of wit had the audience beguiled.

His eyes sent sparks as his heart smiled..

.

Elemental forces and energy roll in waves,

that move like branching trees, deeply rooted over graves.

Trees feed on all manners of electromagnetic lights,

and as the wind blows, shelter nature's sprites.

..

The sands of time shook, as a new bond was molded.

A uniquely beautiful flower of life naturally unfolded.

The hourglass filled, and by spring’s air fresh,

the receptive soul was branded, by caresses that seared the flesh.

.

As lovers, we shared all we were able.

We became characters living in a magnificent fable.

We flowed through ephemeral fields of light as one soul.

Time and space entwined. We were an undivided whole.

.

As partners prepared to receive and give,

all efforts and rewards became relative.

Donating and accepting what was needed, without strife,

illuminated an inexplicable super-sense, that enhanced life.

.

Our thoughts and sensibilities were tuned like a lyre,

following a grimoire, that used water, air, earth, and fire.

With each breath, the pulse of our composite life renewed.

Each of us, humanity, the Earth, and the Universe were glued.

.

Sensing love is a marvellous thing.

It opens portals through the universe, with chimes that ring,

Observers can witness Green men and dryads of dames.

Throughout the world, they appear, as part of nature's intricate games.

.

What we know and sense is often hidden.

What instinct intuitively claims, is often forbidden.

The colours of smell, and touch of water and airs liquid satin

can crinkle and rearrange the codes within DNA's chromatin.

.

Those who look long at nature, see chaos arises as order trembles.

Within an indivisible infinite universe, ordered reality then reassembles,

Thanks to unconscious senses that work in the world of uncertainty,

the memory of original matter unfolds, becoming a realized possibility.

.

Sensibilities, though not knowingly sensed

lead to an understanding of life that can be intense.

The connection between elements and soul

offers harmonious unity, without it being a conscious goal.

My stories usually present facts, supported by science as we know it, that are often spoken of in myths. Both can help survival in an ever-changing world.
