Serenity Hub in the Backyard

A Buddha statue for calmness

Who does not want tranquility,

we all,

but going to shrine,

not always possible.

So, I created one

in the backyard,

in the northwest corner.

A pebble path

hugged by daisies and mint,

surrounded by succulents

leads to a Buddha statue.

When I feel burnout,

I go and sit there,

watching Buddha’s peaceful face.

Sometimes I add seasonal flowers,

while listening to finches sing.

It is my personal serenity hub,

and I am proud of this nook,

where I inhale fresh air,

indulge in mindfulness,

and find meditative peace.
