Skull Kid

what loneliness can cause

By Luna JordanPublished 6 months ago 1 min read

He was

a child

once.

But

that was a

long time

ago, before he

got lost in

the woods and

changed.

*

To those like

him, childish

in their nature,

he was harmless

and friendly,

sharing his love

for music.

To adults,

he was hostile,

mischievous.

*

Eventually,

he befriended

four giants,

who later became

the guardian deities

of Termina.

As part of their

decision to protect

the people of the land,

they went to sleep at separate

corners of Termina.

100 steps north.

100 steps south.

100 steps east.

100 steps west.

*

He was sad,

lonely, but mostly,

he was angry.

He felt

abandoned.

So, he tormented

the people of Termina,

until they called his friends

for help.

They were mad at him.

They banished him.

*

He went to

Hyrule and stayed

within Kokiri Forest,

where he eventually met

Link, who played Saria’s Song

for him and gave him a Skull Mask.

*

Then,

one day,

when it was raining

and he was cold,

two fairies approached

and snuggled with him.

Tatl and Tael.

*

They became friends.

*

Then,

he robbed the

Happy Mask Salesman.

And was corrupted

by the mask he stole;

Majora’s Mask.

*

A puppet to

the cursed mask,

he returned to

Termina, with Link

following suit.

He terrorized the land.

*

In three days time,

the moon would crush

them all.

*

And so,

it was up to Link

to save all of Termina,

including

Skull Kid.

the four giants, link, skull kid, tatl, and tael drawing

This would make a great children's picture book story. Great job.

  • I would just let the moon to crush everyone, lol. Loved your poem!
