Solitude V2.0
I went for a walk not far from my home,
but just far enough to be all alone.
I swiftly uncover the soundlessness of peace:
no desire to return, willing to surcease.
-*-
The wind and the sounds of wildlife around
dug into my conscience, burning it to the ground.
No fear, no remorse, no judgment on me:
no sadness to waste, just a pain's devotee.
-*-
Nightfall began with stars shinning bright
sharp contrast with the void from inside of my mind.
I follow a river up stream where it starts,
wander halted again, while I sit down and glance.
-*-
The water was calm, around the edge of the pond.
At least, I see the face who always loved me the most.
I got just a glimpse, but that glimpse was enough
to stay part from the forest; to rethink all my goals.
-*-
I felt connected to the songs of the trees,
and they told me stories I couldn't believe.
My self-esteem matured and grew
in outlandish ways that I never knew.
-*-
The wind and the sounds of wildlife around
dug into my conscience, raised me up from the ground.
No fear, no remorse, no judgment on me:
no sadness to taste, no more pain's devotee.
-*-
I went for a walk not far from my home.
And after I walked back, I was never alone.

This is so gorgeous!! I know exactly the feeling of this very walk and how nature can heal us in a lot of ways, and you captured it beautifully.
