Someday Soon

A Poem

By Evelyn TurnerPublished 5 years ago 1 min read

Someday Soon

I wrote this poem a while back and it earned me many things. I won the Editor's Choice award, it is Internationally published, was named to Who's Who in American Poetry, and have been nominated for Poet of the Year the last 6 years or so.

Someday Soon

by Evelyn Turner

Someday soon, time will tell.

Truth it seems far from you fell.

An angels' eyes; a sweet, kind word

From your lips sound so absurd.

Someday soon, we will see

Who is in fact born free.

Your act can never last through time;

One can see it is just a line.

Comfort you offer, promise of peace;

Neither can you provide in the least.

Confusion and hate, hurt and pain--

This is what you deliver in vain.

Someday soon, Christ will know.

For me you can fool, but Him you will tell.
