In life's vast sea, I sail anew,
Still Searching...
Still searching for the place where I will truly fit in,
Still seeking trust in spoken words from people's din,
Still yearning for friendship with loyalty and love that's kin,
Still craving a relationship, free from commitments, where to begin.
Still chasing happiness, where will I find my twin?
Still dreaming of a place far from where I've been,
Still seeking truth in the eyes of those akin,
Still yearning for a peaceful place to dwell within.
Still searching for work that satisfies me deep within,
Still looking for a book with love's enduring spin,
Still searching, where will my quest finally pin?
Even in the search for myself, answers wear thin,
Maybe someday, the answers will begin to grin,
Until then, I'll keep...

She was wearing that green dress when I first saw her, five years ago to the day. Flowing meadow fabric draped over long legs, thick auburn hair flowing down her back. That smile. Of course, she is still beautiful now. But now she is no longer alive.
