Photo: mine
The sea
Is a lover
Who gives
As she takes
Giddy, breathless
She comes to me
Wrapped in diaphanous
Ribbons of ebony and silver
Moon is an invited voyeur
Casting glances upon
Our entangled limbs
Limned by his gaze
A harem are we
For I am not
The only one
Relishing her caress
In this moment
Sharing partners
In the dark
Without shame
Or reservation
Completely
She owns me
As she owns them
No gods can give me
The eternity I ache for
Ocean cannot be contained
confined to temples
Deaf to my petition
Poseidon’s reign
Sunk by the ages
She swallowed
Him whole
Long ago
