Learn, try, rest, repeat

I stand upon the ground, my feet among the dewy blades of grass.

I feel the cool of earth and visualise my steps along the path.

Upon my feet my ankles twitch I wriggle all my toes.

I bend my knees and brace against a root and feel how deep it grows.

A breeze whips past my ear and bites; it tousles up my hair.

I catch its tail between my teeth and fill my chest with air.

Step one:

Lean into momentum. Gather up your speed.

Step two:

Set a new intention, plant it like a seed.

Step three:

Uh...

I twist and fall, I roll and veer off from the path.

I grasp green tufts of grass as I lay back and smile and laugh.

And there I lay upon the ground. My fingers brush blades of grass. I know success is near because of failures in my past.

For Fun
