The Fairy Dance
An Ekphrastic Casbairdne With Inspiration From "The Fairy Dance" by Karl Wilhelm Diefenbach

Introduction
This image made me think of Irish and Welsh mythology, so I have decided on an ekphrastic casbairdne for the form, which, although quite short, is a very difficult form, and this is my first attempt. I did find this very hard, but hopefully I made it work.
I saw this magical paunting shared by The Enchanted Booklet on Facebook here:
The music is "The Fairy Dance" by Bonnie Grace

See Those Lights In The Forest
Yes, Fairies That Dance Tonight
Like Magic, Their Bright Wings Shine
Mystic Beings In Fine Light

In A Sea Of Blue, They Fly
By Night These Fae Are So Free
This Is Their Realm, Heed Their Call
Fairy Dance No Man Shall See

Excellent capture, Mike. I had you look up what an ekphrastic casbairdne was. Once I did, I went back and re-read your poem - Bravo!!!
I liked it! Your poem gave off a feeling of mystic mystery like fairies dancing in a forest, their existence unknown to humans.
I love the music it makes me think of a ship on the seagoing up and down with the waves. I love this and the fairy dance. It fits together like a jigsaw π¦ππ¦
Beautiful imagery!
Both that painting and your poem are so gorgeous!
