Flying down the night highway
I watch the lights from the world pass below me
Lightning flashes behind storm clouds
It creates the perfect mix of shadows and light
The rumble of the thunder is the only thing to be heard
I reach out and feel the clouds pass through my fingers
Not a single soul stirs in the night
I am not seen, nor heard
I question whether I exist on this Earth or not
If I disappeared on the night highway
Would anyone notice that I was gone?
With one deep breath
I let go, falling into the void
My only company being what lies in the shadows
If there is a life after this
I will find you again
Both are engraved into my soul
My soul will always recognize yours
