I’ve noticed a fascinating change: the more trials and tribulations a person weathers, the less argumentative they become.

It’s not that they have lost their temper; it’s that they no longer waste it.

You begin focusing your energy on what truly matters: taking care of yourself, achieving your goals, and building a stable life. You become increasingly clear-headed—no longer feeling like a victim, no longer seeking validation, and no longer being swayed by every passing emotion.

But you also become more gentle, because you realize that everyone is fighting their own hidden battle.

Maturity isn't indifference; it is knowing when to sheathe your weapon, being kind when necessary, and setting boundaries when approprite.
