It matters not how love begins,
only that two hearts risk all to win
when sprints become a marathon.

It matters most that each belongs,
not showy stunts, not scripted songs,
kindness shown a thousand ways.

It matters that love endures —
life's poetry that will secure
a sanctuary for souls.
