In the depths of my heart, a memory lies,
A once vibrant love, now tinged with goodbyes,
Smooth as silk, it slips through my grasp,
Leaving behind an ache that forever will last.

๐๐๐๐๐ข๐ง๐ ๐ฒ๐จ๐ฎ๐ซ ๐ฅ๐จ๐ฏ๐ ๐๐ง๐ ๐ฉ๐ซ๐จ๐ญ๐๐๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง ๐๐จ๐ซ ๐ข๐ญ๐ฌ๐๐ฅ๐,
๐๐ฎ๐ญ ๐ง๐จ๐ฐ ๐ฒ๐จ๐ฎ๐ซ ๐ ๐จ๐ง๐,

The touch of your hand, so gentle and warm,
Smooth as a whisper, it could weather any storm.
But time's cruel embrace, it fades away,
Leaving behind echoes of a love in disarray.

I'll hold on the smoothness of what we had,
Treasure the moments, both joyous and sad.
For even as time erodes the memories we keep,
The smoothness of our love will forever run deep.

Bartender
On the heels of grief, pain bears down hard. On the heels of death, pain awakens the quiet place between the end of our own life and now. Feeling anything is like seeing a film and in black and white, slow motion, all sound turned off. Just watching. Gritting teeth, awkward smiles and bloody red eyes move around, scanning the others who are feeling something I don't want to feel, but I do. Escapism is all I have ever known. ~

oh a lost love and with it the protection it provided. Yet, all the damned hurts we get teach us and toughen us. We just have to make sure they don't toughen us to the point where that special person/friend/lover/mentor can't get in.
