The Strength of a Widow

The widow stands, with head held high,

Despite the loss, that's filled her sky,

A symbol of strength, and courage untold,

A woman who's suffered, and grown so old.

She's faced the pain, of losing a love,

And yet she stands, with dignity above,

A shining example, of what it means,

To overcome grief, and chase one's dreams.

She may be alone, but she's not alone,

For the love she shared, will always be known,

And though she may mourn, her broken heart,

She'll always have memories, that will never part.

So let us honor, the widows we know,

And show them love, and support them so,

For the strength of a widow, is truly a sight,

And a testament, to the beauty of life.
