Three Witches
Inspired By Halloween and Macbeth, also my twenty third dark poem in the series inspired by Dharrsheena
For some reason, I was thinking of the Three Witches who foretold Macbethβs rise to become King of Scotland and his eventual demise. I wondered if I could write a poem about their conversations and activities leading up to Macbeth's arrival. Obviously, it is All Hallows Eve so that may be something to do with it.
This is also my twenty-third dark poem in the series inspired by Dharrsheena.
The music is from the 1972 soundtrack to Roman Polanski's "Macbeth" by The Third Ear Band.

Three Weird Sisters And A Cauldron
A Cat And Herbs As They Make Their Brew
A Man Will Come Weβll Tell Him True
To Rise He Will Murder Duncan

Hubble, Bubble Toil And Trouble
The Cauldron Boils, Cat Doth Mewl
To Slay The King, So He May Rule
Macbeth Does Come, Creatures Scuttle

Foretelling Death, Sisters From Hell
He'll Hear Our Words, Be In Our Thrall
When He Is King, He Will Then Fall

The Pride Flag and the Diversion
For nearly a decade, the LGBTQIA Pride Flag rippled in the wind at Christopher Park, a kaleidoscope of color staked into the soil of Americaβs first national monument to LGBTQIA+ liberation. That flag came down this week. Federal officials, citing new guidance from the Trump Administration, silently lowered the rainbow flag from its pole across the street from the Stonewall Inn. The birthplace of the modern gay rights movement now flies only the United States flag.
