Time Gets Away

A poem about time

We are all bound by that ring of numbers

All constrained to 24 hours

Will we use it all or let it waste away

/

None can out run it or escape it’s grasp

It holds on tight and keeps on ticking

We think we can control it but it has us in it’s grasp

/

We think we can manage it all

But tasks slip away and we run out of time

It slowly drifts out of reach
