My Perennial Crush,

I can't stand to request you wait.

It's against the rules

For this sort of thing,

But if I don't ask

One day I will be too late.

In six months

Could we go on a date?

Since you are so far away

I have to give notice,

Plus save to afford it.

How horrid!

I don't know what else to do.

Three years I've known you,

This crush keeps enhancing its flavor

With time like fine wine.

It gives me the heart of a lion.

I can't pull my thoughts away from you.

Your heart is so true.

Your smile is the most irresistible bait.

I know I have told you I like you

But I never came out and asked for a date

Since I couldn't make it on a reasonable date.

I hope this brimming courage will clean the slate.

Please allow me to ask ahead.

I'm sorry to make this beautiful question so lame.

I promise I will make it worth the wait.

With all my heart,

Janice
