Trouble in Texas

Tailored Thelma threw the ticket toward the Texan.

“Think travel takes this terrible toil?” the Texan teased.

Thelma took time talking through tight teeth, “Tendency toward transgression there.”

Ticked, the Texan took the train toward the territory’s towering town. Trekking toward town, the traveling troubadour, touting that tolerable, tacky tattoo, told tales that trouts tussled through the Thames, that tigers tramped through Twickenham, that titmice tweeted, “Tsk. Tsk.”

Tapping, twirling through the tavern threshold, towed them tantalizingly there. Troubled, twangy Texas tunes thrilled the two-stepping Texarkana thrill-seekers. Thirsty, the Texan tipped the Tabasco topped, triple-sec tonic. Tipped the talent too. Thought, “Tangy, though too tart.”

Thwack! That thundercrack trumpeted the twilight. The tavern trembled. “Twister, twister!”

Telegraphed Thelma, “Taking the train today—two—-twister tore this town to tidbits.”

The Texan touched the tepid ticket. There? There. There, the ticket toward Thelma.
