Tumble

A fall from a horse

White flashes that cover lush green, sporadically,

and the taste of copper,

while sickness bites down, hard enough to crack bones.

You snort and huff, not concerned but curious,

It's the unmistakable odour of shit that worries me - what did I land in?

I just finished reading your poem "Tumble" on Vocal, and I wanted to let you know how much I enjoyed it. Your imagery beautifully captures the emotional experience of falling—whether it's into love, uncertainty, or even chaos. The way you evoke the sense of surrender and vulnerability resonated deeply with me.

Vivid and raw - such a powerful mix of intensity and dark humor!
