I miss you

What Happened?

I would come to write here daily

Waiting for your “wow”

But have lost my inspiration

I really don’t know how

You waited for my stories

Patient if I was stuck

Hoping for a masterpiece

Wishing me good luck

I wanted to express

Things I couldn’t say

To tell you all I felt

On any given day

The words of love and honesty

The words of pain there too

The times I felt emotionless

I would share with you

But time marched on, you stopped looking

So I stopped writing too

I couldn’t find the words to say

How upset I was with you

We shared this thing right from the start

My inspiration all came from you

But when you lost all interest

I knew not what to do

You didn’t seem to care

Stopped asking if I’d write

No longer had an interest

Although I tried each night

What happened to that spark

And sparkle in your eye

When I would post a story

That sometimes made you cry

I long to have that back again

That feeling of success

The feeling that you read my words

And hear what I profess

So when you think of me, think of my page

And the words that touched you so

Go back and read those simple words

Of the things you didn’t know

I wrote for you, because of you

You gave that gift to me

You gave me reason, you gave me strength

You gave me a reason to be

So please look back upon my writings

And see what I have done

For without you in my crazy life

There surely would be none

Missing you, g

sad poetry
