who i want to be is who i am

what i want to do is forever honor that

i am love.

unrequited,

untold,

unacknowledged,

tattooed on hearts — hidden —

unfiltered,

uncensored,

unconditional,

shouted from rooftops,

tattooed on skin — exposed —

love. i am

actionable,

intentional,

deliberate

love. i am

love that grows,

love that takes its time,

love that speeds along,

love that doesn't even know it's

love. i am

generous in spirit,

warm with company,

inviting even to strangers in my home,

genuine in how i build community,

aware of my place in the whole,

grounded in helping bear the load

love. i am

ubuntu,

from each... to each...,

humanities bound up in each other,

and so on and so forth,

love.

every lesson has taught me that the

love i have

is predicated on the

love that i give, so

i choose to be only

who i am,

i am love,

and give of that freely.

what i want is to

be consistent in that, so that

no matter what tides

trials

or pains

may come, i remain

love.

♥️I do like how you personified love, but you did more than that. You became love and gave love to us so we could see how you embody it, how you became it. ♥️I see in your pleonasm how you have placed yourself in stasis, specifically with the use of those "un-" words. ♥️The intentional use of the words starting with "un" made this line, 'tattooed "on" skin exposed,' have a beautiful rise and fall into that sweet, airy assonance.

  • What we all aspire for ❤️

  • Just incredible. An anthem of love - deeply inspiring, wonderfully written. :)
