Winter's Cold

a poem inspired by Canadian winter

By Solomon WalkerPublished 21 days ago 1 min read
winter cold by Solomon

In the morn's first light, a sight so bright,

Frosty mix in the air, a wintry delight.

Wild winds blow, across the land they roam,

Sweeping and swirling, through fields they comb.

Last night's snowfall, a surprise to behold,

Dancing and twirling, like stories untold.

Leafless trees sway, in rhythm divine,

Nestled in their branches, birds and squirrels find.

Winter's embrace, unforgiving and bold,

No distinction it makes, for friends or foes it holds.

Entering and leaving, as it pleases with grace,

A season of wonder, with its icy embrace.
