Worries can be an annoying insect
Demanding attention until angrily squelched.
*
Worries can be a painful sunburn
Simply requiring time for heat to dissipate and heal
*
Worries can be rocks in your backpack
They may slow you down or even stop your progress
*
Worries can be burrs on your clothing
They irritate and take effort to eradicate
*
Worries can be splinters in your finger
Digging themselves deeper, requiring painful extraction
*
I like to think of worries as weeds
I watch them grow into dandelion blooms.
When they seed, I blow them away.
