The Intrigue of Unavailability

A game or way of life?

By Seashell Harpspring Published about 19 hours ago 3 min read

Every girl wants that man, so I don’t. Everybody is going after that woman, so I wont. Everybody wants their way into that club, so I don’t.

We say these things because we know we can’t have access even if we want it enough. We all want to feel special and full of status.

Limited time offers making us look at what we may have not thought to buy before.

Only so many seats we can fill so ticket prices are high.

Only so many ingredients, so better hurry up to buy.

Under lock and key so no one else can have it. Looking for the experience even if it is to call the moment overrated. Still need to find a way to see.

Track it with our technology and talk about it in our circles so that you can feel unique and special.

Get yours before it is too late and hang on to it to keep its value increasing. You have that? How lucky you are!

Be upset when someone else won that once in a lifetime trip. Say you didn't want to see that or go there anyway. Make fun of the people who get to be there and do that.

Call something you can’t get into dumb for it lacking the proper availability to you while seeking to find a way in.

Keep searching for the rare item to unlock the gate you stare at. Find the right people with the know or the right style for the flow.

Hurry up and try to be the ninth caller and get those tickets.

Hold onto something with all of your grip because it looks good.

Blow on the dice and roll, you need that good luck.

Come on, no more snake eyes for me please.

You say you won’t play again or roll again, but you will be back.

Put a prized possession in a display case. Don't let anyone touch it. The value decreases out of the box.

That art piece may be “tacky,” but you would still sell it for its million dollars worth price tag if someone wanted to spend that much for it.

Diamonds are just stones, but they sell for thousands.

A person is just a human until they have the stone.

The right way to feel special.

The opportunity of a lifetime.

We all want to be that main character in a movie or game that so happens to have the gift or answer to the problem.

Make an offbrand version if we can't have the item.

Who are we if we can't be that one and only?

Who are we if we don't feel special enough?

If we don't get to spend our days in the way we want.

If we can't be prom queen, why is life even worth the living?

Even if it is a one in a million chance we get there.

Striving in all ways to grasp what we believe could make us cool, which would then make us happy.

Is what everyone else wants what we want, or are we just thinking it would be sparkles and glitter.

What if all that is glitter is not what we ourselves really want.

What if what we need is not what we want?

What if we stop trying to impress.

What if we stop sharing and seeking.

Then we would miss our excited emotions that we enjoy so much.

We want to feel what makes us take an action to go on.

We want to be be authentic and the same as others.

We want both all at once, to look unique but still fit inth
