Hood County Jail Museum

Built in the late 1800s, the Hood County Jail Museum is an insightful step into the past. Until 1978, this was the only jail in the city. Deputies stayed on the main floor while the second floor was used to house the inmates and criminally insane. People often come here to look at the memorabilia and take a look at the past. Have you ever watched Grease? There’s a scene in there where Danny takes Sandy to the drive-in to watch a movie. There are numerous cars parked and a small little stand offering popcorn and candy. How about attending your version of a drive-in? Most of these are a thing of the past, but Granbury has held strong to their drive-in movie theater. The Brazos Drive-In attracts people who come out here for a cozy movie. Fill up your truck beds with blankets, pillows, and snacks while you enjoy a good movie in the open air. The great thing about this budget-friendly activity is that it’s $20 per carload to go in. If you are the only one in the car, it’s $10.
Revolver Brewing
Revolver Brewing is a great place to enjoy the outdoors while having a good drink. They offer numerous types of beers and a wide-open area to enjoy sunny days. Many breweries are expensive, so what makes this open special? The unique thing about this is that you’re able to bring your seats, games, and even food! Many people on Saturdays bring a whole picnic out to the brewery to enjoy with their family and friends. If you want something a little different, they do have a food truck that is typically on-site as well. The only catch to all of this is that you can’t bring outside alcohol.
Silver Saddle Saloon

This saloon is a great place to step into the Wild West and enjoy a cold treat! Silver Saddle Saloon offers flavors like banana cream pie, cookie lover, revolver blood & honey, and butter brickle. Want something with a little more kick? Try one of their whisky-infused ice creams! While the drinks may be a bit pricier, getting a scoop of ice cream is just the right price!
