All-new Perodua Alza will be launched?
All-new Perodua Alza D27A will be launched in June.

With excitement growing for the introduction of the all-new Perodua Alza (codenamed D27A), dealers are attempting to gain a head start by accepting reservations for the revamped MPV long before Perodua's official announcement.
According to a recent post on a Facebook page dedicated to the 2022 Alza, the MPV will be released next month and will start at RM69,000. Customers are also encouraged to reserve a spot in line for a refundable charge of RM100.
Perodua had planned to terminate production of the D46T in January, however, it was claimed that manufacture of the current Alza (codenamed D46T) ended in April this year after being extended to make up for production delays caused by flash floods, lockdowns, and other limitations in the past.
Perodua president and CEO Datuk Zainal Abidin Ahmad stated when the manufacturing extension was announced that the D27A will be introduced shortly after the D46T was phased out, "hopefully the transition between the old Alza and new Alza will be easy."
The new Alza will be offered in three types, starting with the base X and progressing to the mid-spec H and top-of-the-line AV, according to the article. As previously said, the beginning pricing is expected to be around RM69k, so anticipate anything beyond the X to cost around RM70k.
If this is correct, the new Alza will be far more expensive than the one it replaces. The departing Alza is priced between RM49,944 and RM60,525. Keep in mind that these are on-the-road pricing, not including insurance, and include a 100 percent sales and service tax (SST) exemption. The Alza begins at RM51,490 and reaches RM62,690 without the SST rebate.
Despite this, the Alza's starting price of RM69k puts it significantly ahead of the Ativa (which begins at RM61,500) and close to the Aruz. In contrast to the Alza's unibody design and front-wheel drive, the bigger SUV has a ladder-frame construction and rear-wheel drive.
The Alza, like the locally constructed (CKD) Ativa and the current Toyota Avanza/Daihatsu Xenia, is intended to be built on the Daihatsu New Global Architecture (DNGA). It will be bigger than the car it replaces, with a wheelbase of 2,750 mm, which is longer than the Proton Exora (+20 mm) but shorter than the Mitsubishi Xpander (-25 mm).
The alleged asking price should be justified by all the gains the new model makes over the previous model, not just in terms of size, but also in terms of materials, design, and, most crucially, safety systems. Perodua's current lineup is well-equipped in terms of passive and active safety features, and the Alza will not be left out.
The new Avanza's 2NR-VE 1.5 litre naturally-aspirated Dual VVT-i four-cylinder (106 PS and 138 Nm) is expected to be the sole powertrain offered, mated with a D-CVT to drive the front wheels. Here's a more extensive analysis of what we know and expect from the impending Alza.
Dealers are predicting a June introduction, three models, and a starting price of RM69,000. We'd still wait for Perodua to formally announce the start of order taking before putting down any cash, but if you want to jump in line early, please be very cautious.
As we saw with the Ativa, there are con artists out there attempting to take advantage of eager automobile purchasers who can't wait to get their hands on the latest model. As a result, do your homework and make sure you're only working with Perodua's authorized sales consultants and dealerships.
Except the Perodua Alza, Avanza and Ativa, you can also take Perodua Aruz into consideration. If you think they’re over behind your budget, you can choose used cars, like Perodua Aruz Used Cars.
