Today is not a great day.
I got some bad news regarding work, and everything got postponed. In addition, I just came across my own story on someone else's account.
At first I got furious, because I immediately assumed that I became the victim of a plagiarist. I've seen it many times on this site...
So I was a bit shocked.
But it's not a slightly changed version of my own story, but a nice, AI-smelling summary of it, Médea’s Recipes for Life. (Evolution?)
I mean, man.... thanks for writing a story about my story, and summing it up. It's one of my favorites, too.
But at least, give me proper credits and add a link to my story. Cause now it looks like you're just trying to make money off of someone else's work by summarizing it, like it was something actually written by you.

I don't really know how to feel about it. If it would be on a huge account and through this my work could get to many readers, with proper credits and link to my work, I'd be honored.
But I don't feel like it's the case. It kind of smells fishy to me... like a scam.

That is bullshit. I see that it’s been dealt with… On an optimistic note… This scammer chose well. If you think about it from another perspective they wouldn’t choose to plagiarize trash! Imitation and flattery and all that. Regardless, I really hope it doesn’t happen again. You deserve all the credit :)

This makes me so sad. I am sick of seeing peoples ideas stolen. I have been looking into copyright laws lately, and I don't know know how it applies for platforms like Vocal- but I read the minute you hit "publish" or share anything you've made with the world, it's YOURS. Period. Paying for a copyright makes things easier as far as pursuing legal action against the person, but no matter if you do or not, it is still yours. Maybe we should all start adding a copyright to our work? I don't know if it would even matter. I'm sorry this happened to you and I hope you find justice.

Ach, sorry Imola. For the work delays and that shitty behaviour. You did what I would do. I can't physically harm them lol but maybe vocal will ban or restrict them. Here's hoping they act quickly.
