Huge Knockouts Championship Match Set for NWA EmPowerrr
The August 5, 2021 edition of Impact Wrestling was the first one coming off their Homecoming event, which featured a mixed tag team tournament that ended with the debuting Matthew Rehwoldt (the former Aiden English in WWE) and Knockouts Champion Deonna Purrazzo winning and being crowned King and Queen. For Deonna, it's yet another accolade added to her impressive Impact Wrestling résumé, which is barely over a year long! So on Impact, Matt and Deonna celebrated their success, when out came Mickie James, a familiar sight as of late.

Villainess Review: Marissa (Deadly Mom Retreat)
I learned about this movie from Marvista's website, and upon seeing the who's who of stars in this, I was just eagerly waiting for Lifetime to snag it. That day finally came: August 5, 2021, and I tuned in with bated breath! So this film centers on Jules, who is mulling over whether or not to end her marriage to Tom, which resulted in the birth of their daughter, Rosalie. It seems like she's willing to stay with Tom--until she finds out that Tom had been seeing his former flame, Claire. Even with that, Jules is still at a crossroads, and she believes that a retreat could provide a welcome distraction.

NWA EmPowerrr: What We Know So Far
It's coming! NWA's very first all-women's PPV event, EmPowerrr, is on the horizon! To say I was on Cloud Nine when this news broke two months ago would be an understatement! Here's how this monumental event came to be.

Evander Kane: It's Always Something
Stop me if you've heard this before. Evander Kane is in the news. The reasons why aren't positive. It's connected to his past gambling. To say that Evander Kane is a controversial figure in the NHL would be an understatement. It is always something with Kane; he has been in a cloud of controversy for, pretty much, his entire NHL career.

The NFC West is Hard to Predict
In the last few seasons, the NFC West has been one of the strongest divisions in the league, resulting in its rivalries being some of the most entertaining in recent years. It's a far cry from the NFC West I remember from my childhood, where for years, it was the San Francisco 49ers basically crushing the other teams in the division. Now, the NFC West is wide open, and it's basically anyone's division to win, especially since the 49ers will have all hands on deck after an injury plagued 2020 season.

The Divas of Doom: 10 Years Later
Hard to believe that the angle that gave us the Divas of Doom started a full decade ago. I remember it like it was yesterday, and even to this very day, I still have fond memories of how it started and everything that took place in the months that followed. Before going into the whole story of the Divas of Doom, let's take a look at the players involved and where they were entering the beginning of this angle.

Villainess Review: Valerie McGlynn (You're Not Safe Here)
There is a huge reason why I was so excited weeks ago when I learned about this movie, originally titled, The Girl in the Window, now known as You're Not Safe Here. The film begins with Ava discovering that she's pregnant with her first child with boyfriend Shane, who is established as being abusive and controlling towards Ava. Ava leaves Shane's clutches with the help of her friend Kyle, but while on the road, she ends up crashing her car. When she wakes up, Ava finds herself in a house occupied by Valerie and William McGlynn, who are both doctors.

Reviewing Sasha Banks' Return to SmackDown
On April 9, 2021, the first night of WrestleMania 37 took place, and that night's main event was historic, as Sasha Banks and Bianca Belair ended that evening competing for the SmackDown Women's Championship. It marked the first time that a one-on-one match involving Black women main evented a night of WrestleMania, and the title bout saw Bianca (who won this year's Women's Royal Rumble) capture the title from Sasha; capping off a huge elevation for Bianca. Sasha had only been seen on WWE TV once since losing the title, while Bianca had successful defenses against former champions Bayley and Carmella during her 100+ day reign. Their historic main event won an ESPY at this year's event, under the category of "Best WWE Moment."

Villainess Review: Annie Weaver (Am I a Serial Killer?)
2019's Am I a Serial Killer? was quite an interesting Lifetime film full of twists and turns. The film centered on Natalie, an 18-year-old girl living with her aunt, Caroline Weaver, having done so in the eight years that passed since Natalie's mother, Annie Weaver, was convicted of killing couple Lucy and Frank Miller. The Millers had been living in a room at Annie's mother's old home, but they were suddenly murdered when Natalie was 10 years of age, and it was Natalie who testified against Annie, leading to Annie's conviction.

Reviewing The End of Dakota Kai and Raquel Gonzalez's Alliance
We all saw this coming ever since Raquel Gonzalez became NXT Women's Champion. We all figured that it was only a matter of time before Raquel and Dakota's year-plus long alliance would end because of that title. None of us were surprised with what went down on the latest edition of NXT. The only one who was surprised: none other than Raquel Gonzalez herself.

Villainess Review: Elise Simon (Devious Nanny)
As I mentioned in an earlier review, March and April 2018 were amazing months for this Lifetime movie fan, because the period featured some very amazing movies with awesome villainesses. The film that kicked off this trend was Devious Nanny, which was released as The Au Pair in 2017, and also went under the alternate title, Nanny Betrayal. The film centered on the Simons: Elise, Brian, and son Cody, as well as the couple hiring a new nanny, Amber Deschanel. She wasn't their first au pair; their last one, Becky Hopkins, was murdered in the film's opening, and it was revealed that she and Brian engaged in an affair.

Green-Eyed Doll
For Christie Brennan, it was business as usual. It was approaching 5PM, and Christie was at her usual place: parked outside an office building waiting for Dayna Francis, the woman who completed her. The hours that often followed were the same: they would talk about their day as Christie cooks dinner for them, they would be lost in each other's embrace while watching TV together, and they would be in bed together, cuddling like two people who truly love each other often do.
