The Transformational Journey: Embracing The Power of Now by Eckhart Tolle
In the realm of self-help and spiritualist literature, few books have left an indelible mark on readers as profoundly as Eckhart Tolle’s The Power of Now. This is not your average self-help book, but it is instead a profound spiritual guide to living in the present moment. Tolle’s work has resonated with countless individuals seeking solace, meaning, and transformation in their lives. Among those individuals, I found myself drawn into Tolle's teachings, experiencing a profound shift in my approach to life. Following this book, I began to explore other teachers in manifestation, quantum physics, and spiritual enlightenment, including Neville Goddard. Through this essay, I will explore how The Power of Now has influenced my mindset and behavior, specifically focusing on how it has prompted me to adopt deliberate and mindful actions and has facilitated a deeper connection between my body and mind.

Fifty Shades of. . . Why, Exactly?
The Fifty Shades of Grey franchise has been nothing short of shocking since its release. From books to films, the story is less of a nod to the BDSM community and more of a glamorization of outdated “romance” tropes that show women that love should hurt. Highly would not recommend.

Renfield (2023): A Campy Horror Comedy with a Bite of Codependency
The 2023 direct-to-streaming film Renfield delves into the often overlooked tale of the classic monster universe, injecting it with a unique blend of comedy, horror, and campy charm. Directed by Chris McKay and boasting a star-studded cast including Nicholas Hoult, Awkwafina, and Nicolas Cage, the film takes a refreshing twist on the narrative inspired by characters from Bram Stoker's Dracula. In a modern world filled with vampires and supernatural creatures, the film explores themes of codependency, self-discovery, and the absurdities of immortal life.

The Crimson Cloak and the She-Wolf
For this retelling, I have made the main characters over 18. In a quaint village nestled within an ancient forest, a familiar tale of a girl and a wolf unfolded. Yet, this retelling of Red Riding Hood spun a different thread of destiny, where the unexpected connections between a young woman and a mysterious she-wolf would change their lives forever.

M3GAN: Unveiling the True Villain and the Dark Consequences of AI Bonding- Film Review
In the realm of science fiction horror, "M3GAN" emerges as a haunting and thought-provoking tale that delves deep into the complexities of artificial intelligence and emotional connections. Directed by Gerard Johnstone and brought to life by an ensemble cast led by Allison Williams and Violet McGraw, the film masterfully weaves together themes of technology, trauma, grief, and the sinister consequences of unchecked AI. As the credits roll on this suspenseful rollercoaster, it becomes apparent that Gemma, the ostensibly well-intentioned creator, is the true villain of the story, an assertion solidified by the gripping cliffhanger ending.

Whispers of the Deep: A Lesbian Retelling of "The Little Mermaid"
In a realm beneath the waves, where coral castles gleamed and iridescent fish danced, lived a mermaid named Marina. Unlike her sisters, who reveled in the beauty of the sea, Marina's heart was drawn to the human world above. The stories she had heard about humans and their emotions ignited a longing within her that she couldn't ignore. She swore an oath to see the human land.

A Witty and Twisted Journey through Teen Vengeance - "Do Revenge" Review
Trigger Warning: This review discusses themes of revenge, manipulation, and social injustice. In Jennifer Kaytin Robinson's "Do Revenge," a darkly comedic tale of teenage vendettas unfolds, masterfully weaving together elements of classic high school films with a unique twist of its own. Starring a talented ensemble cast led by Camila Mendes and Maya Hawke, this 2022 Netflix offering delivers a rollercoaster ride of emotions, intrigue, and unexpected camaraderie against the backdrop of cliques, high school drama, and the insatiable quest for acceptance.
