My Family and Our Double "Marriage"
I grew up in a broken home. And it wasn't the best experience - but not because my family was broken. It wasn't the best experience because the people involved (mostly a dead-beat biological father) were... shitty. But I grew up with a strong resolve. I knew that if I ever had kids - my life wasn't going to be perfect and I knew the chances of a 'whole' family were slim.

The "Key" To "Finding Real Love."
Hello you lovely human. Thanks for clicking on my article. Some of you are reading this because you're healing a heartache. Some of you are a little lonely. Some of you are here because you saw the title and wanted to come to scorch me for whatever bullshit I'm going to say. Or some of you are genuinely hoping for some kind of answer- a simple but kind of magical explanation for your love problems.

The Top 10 Most Un-Christian Things Christians Do. Content Warning.
It's time to offend some people. I say this with amusement and admittedly, a little spicey hint of GLEE. Because I'll be honest- as a Christian and God-loving southern woman surrounded by "Christians" in East Tennessee- my favorite hobby is ripping new holes and perspectives into people who do not meet MY standards of what a "good" Christian is.

Why This Christian Isn’t Raising Her Children In A Church.. Content Warning.
I live in the Bible Belt, in the beautiful state of Tennessee. My state is famous for several things: The Vols, Memphis and Elvis, Rocky Top, Dolly Parton, Trees and Jesus. I love my state, and for the most part, I love my community.

If You Were A Dog Breed - What Would You Be?
In my household... We have a running joke that my bro-bro is a golden retriever. He's very food-motivated (and a little food-aggressive unless it's one of the kids), he gets easily distracted by, well, anything, he knocks things over with his tail, he's kind of dopey, he's always making everyone smile, and the most grouchy he gets is when he hasn't had enough food or sleep. He also eats things he shouldn't when no one's looking.

2024 Vocal Life
Vocal has challenged me to write an article about my goals for this coming year. And I realized when I read the entry I had not even thought about it. I am still coming up from a downward spiral and before today, it felt like setting goals was overwhelming for me.

Shut Down Mode Engaged — Please Begin Emergency Restart Procedures
Last year, I did well. For a few solid months straight I was super motivated. I wrote articles every day and struggled to decide which projects to work on. Build my audience on Vocal media or here on Medium, finish editing the final draft of my book, and continue writing the new book I’m working on, I capped out most months on my eBay listings on my store. And I still have all of that going on, but I also have a real estate license to study for, as well as all the typical ‘mom-wife-life’ stuff I have going on.

Self Interview - 10 Questions to Dig Deep On
Why am I doing this? Because it's always good to dig deep, and evaulate yourself in your life with whatever you're doing every now and then. Asking yourself questions, and REALLY digging into them within yourself is a good way to keep you on the right track, or help you get back on it.
