I'm the guy who knows every last fact about Spider-man and if I don't I'll track it down. I love bad movies, enjoy table-top gaming, and probably would drive you crazy if you weren't ready for it.

Tattoos & Rail Guns Chapter 5: Two Very Different Celebrations
A skyscraper had collapsed next to Fort Solace, giving an excellent view of the surrounding area, and especially Fort Solace. Three demons had gathered specifically to spy on the fort and created their own little home away from home. They were drinking glasses of wine, one of the few good things they had found in this dimension. There was also a charcuterie board, but the less said about the meats on the board the better.

The Five BS OF Keeping It Quiet After The Apocalypse
When things hit the fan, there will be plenty of people to avoid. You’ll be wanting to avoid fellow scavengers, bandits, and the military, all of whom have their own reasons to want you captured, detained, or just plain dead. This means that you need to find ways to keep quiet, stay mobile, and be able to disappear into the woods. The problem is that most people tend to think that there is a direct correlation between noise and effectiveness; that is, guns, SUVs, and crowds are believed to be the most effective options by far too many people, when there are plenty of more effective ways of doing the same thing.

Sparrow on a Plank Chapter 4: The Voyage Begins
They sailed over the deep blue sea, flecked with brown patches of kelp and black forms just below the surface. Birds soared serenely, looking to strike at any fish that came near the surface, then diving, splashing, returning to the skies above with their squirming prey. The fish below were split between two groups: the fish that swam in well-coordinated schools, their very movement confusing those in the predators that preyed on those too slow to evade them. There are the plankton-eaters, those giants that created the largest, scariest shadows but wouldn’t harm a flea. And then there were the reptiles and killer whales, usually predators but sometimes just more of the plankton-eaters.

Why We Need A Better System For Volunteering
It’s important that you somehow give back to your community. A community is only as strong as how its members contribute to it. While it’s important to do your job, and that contributes in its own way, it’s also important to look at volunteering as well. Volunteering helps to fill in those gaps that may otherwise go underserved or where an organization has problems filling a regular position. In some cases, it may even be traditional for something to be a volunteer position. However, these positions need to be filled somehow as they help the community as a whole; filling those positions can help strengthen the community as a whole, allowing the community to do things it normally can’t do and allowing it to advance.

Sacrifices for the Balance Chapter 3: The Most Unusual Patient
[The last chapter can be found here.] Jena parked her Bug outside the Elspeth County Hospital. She clocked in and went to her assigned station. Tonight was one of her "special nights"; as a member of the coven that worked the hospital, she occasionally had to track down certain patients and look at their charts. This would be one of those times: Just last night Melissa Ortega, a member of the coven, had been admitted. According to her charts, Melissa should make a total recovery, at least physically; she had suffered a few minor abrasions but was otherwise unharmed. Shame about Jimmy; he had been a good kid. The investigator would be getting a lot of "mysterious" help.

Sacrifice for the Balance Chapter 2: The Queen Enters The Game
[The last chapter can be found here.] Lady Astor Mary Brisbane did not like what the motorcycle helmet would do to her hair, but it was better than using the limousine. Tomasz Cel Tradat had picked her up from the airport and had given her the choice of a limousine or a motorcycle. One look at the gorgeous red Harley Davidson with its chrome, and she knew the limousine was the worse of the two rides. While she loved the ostentatiousness of the limousine, it would never make it to the hidden village she was traveling to.

Brass Ring Chapter 3: When The Clarion Call Goes Out
[Link to Chapter 2] After a wild mix of bumpy dirt roads and horrible karaoke, Oliver and Cass eventually returned home. The entire afternoon had had the feel of the last few hours of summer vacation; they had packed his van even before they had left for the pond. Each touch, each kiss was bittersweet; even the teasing lacked its usual "oomph!" Oliver had already made sure that the internet wouldn't drop as often just so that the two could talk face-to-face, even during the worst rainstorm and

Tattoos & Rail Guns Chapter 2: Fear The Chipmunk Killers!
The checklist wasn't just to make sure that she was ready. Sure, it helped make sure that she had everything she would need, that everything she packed was cleaned, and gave her peace of mind, but that wasn't all. It put her in the right frame of mind, a ritual of sorts to shift her from barracks mode to field mode. She inspected all of her gear, looking for cracks and holes. Finding none made her happy; she even smiled as she realized all of those trips to the armorer had its dividends.

Demon In The Woods
She crouched down, hiding behind the crumbled wall. She heard the crunching of feet passing next to her as she held her breath, hoping it didn't hear the hammering of her heart or smell her perspiration. She heard it pause and turn; her body dove and she twisted just soon enough to see it smash the wall into dust.

Tattoos & Rail Guns Chapter 4: The Coming of the Tattooed Voyager
Lieutenant Sawyer ran into the hallway just behind the rest of her team. The dretch easily dwarfed the soldiers, being twice as tall as a man and was built like a wrestler. Naked save for its ragged loincloth, its size made it look almost like a gigantic baby. Well, except for the nasty roar and a maw of sharp teeth.
