If there was a human personification of the popular straight face emoji that’s used on mobile phones now a days, Cedric’s face encapsulated it at the moment his friend, Luke, tapped the green circle on the phone. It was almost as if he figured Sandy wasn’t awake yet. His rationalization teetered more on hope than of actual knowledge. But then, he let out a sigh of relief as he could just about make out the muffled automated voicemail greeting that comes standard on certain carriers through his own earpiece.

Funny thing is my father is not my Daddy
My biological father pretty much disowned me before the ink was dry on the divorce papers filed by my mother. I was only thirteen at the time but was told because of my mother’s choice to leave him and my choice to live with her that I was pretty much on my own and in his words “don’t ask me for shit”.

Sandy giggled and shook her head when she finally stepped out of the shower to hear a ferocious dog barking in her front room. The reason it struck her so funny was when she came out of the shower sitting on the fluffy lilac bath mat was Minnie just a waggin her little tail. So to hear the big ol bark from the other room and actually see the cute lil fur face in front of her made her whole day.

It took a cone full of Luke’s strongest indica before Cedric was able to move his leg without wincing. But eventhough Cedric could move, he and Luke stayed put. They were quiet for a few moments until they heard what sounded like wind chimes in the distance.
