We press forward. Into the dark and depth of an unknown darker than any nighttime sky and deeper than any ocean. Long have we watched the clouds gathering on the horizon, awaiting the storm that bellows us now along our path. Instead of the destruction the oppressors promised it would bring, it drives us like topsails on a grand frigate into a new world.

When he eventually broke down and told his sapping Wall Street job to screw off, Henry imagined life as a burglar would be more adventurous and exciting. The scales always sway back into balance. He slammed back a beer as the jukebox in the corner of this well-out-of-the-way hole in the wall cranked out some Judas Priest. Another dusty beer and a shot of Jack appeared without a word, as if by magic. They called him Theo in these parts, which was as good a name as any. He’d been on the run so long that it didn’t matter anymore.
