Released from Jail into a World of Pandemia!! pt. 5
Let's see the last one of these I wrote just after we moved into the apartment in North Austin. Luckily during the February freeze we were fortunate that an old friend from San Antonio graced us with her presence to help with the move and thusly ended up stuck at our house and couch surfing for the duration of that freeze. I say luckily because life literally stopped for most the Southerners here since snow weather is obviously something they rarely ever have to deal with. Especially not 3 or 4 feet of snow and completely frozen bridges.

Released from jail into a world of Pandemia... part 4
So Part 3 I was telling you about how Olivia and I were separated in January 2020. She was still nursing and only 4 and a half months old. Illegal eviction led to me being arrested for a warrant which I was scheduled to meet with the Downtown Austin Community Court about on the upcoming Monday. The police arrested me and witnessed my verbal consent to place my daughter with my biological brother until I got out of jail. I know they planned to let the landlord call crime stopper on me and my husband so that they would not have to take us home with them. My brothers wife then of course not being able to have another baby herself and having just bonded with Olivia on our last trip to La Vernia of course was not going to take my husband home with them. She called crime stopper on him. So we are both arrested Jan. 30th, 2020.

The Trash Bag Kid Confessionals pt. 2
We drove silently from the Metropolitan Methodist Hospital in downtown San Antonio, Texas to the South side where the big red brick building I learned to loathe was located. That building being the Texas Department of Family Protective Services main office in San Antonio. We walked into the doors and I distinctly remember the stale smell of urine filled diapers from the trashcan and mildew. We checked in and the Case worker wrote my name on a name tag sticker that had the word visitor and date pre printed on it and stuck it to my shirt gently. I followed her to the elevator and she looked at me as she pressed the up button and said as kindly as possible "Don't worry, we are just going to help you Mother get you both home as soon as she can sweet heart...". I remember clutching onto my newborn's car seat even tighter in hopes that she wouldn't take him away from me too. It's strange how even now when I think about all this I remember feeling more like Mom had been taken away from me rather than the other way around.

I've now been interviewed a total of 3 times. Like Marlon Wayan's said in the movie "White Chicks"... "Better yet... I'm gonna write a letter! Dear Mr.... Royal.... Hampton... I ... am... a... white... woman... in ... A MER ICA." (this is not at all meant to offend anyone, BLACK LIVES MATTER!!! Anyway, what he said there holds truth...

Some of you might already know who I am from news articles, but for those of you who remain clueless: Hi! I'm Rachel Schuyler a 31 year old houseless female struggling to reenter the Austin, Texas community after serving my sentences for felony charges allegedly committed over 4 and 6 years ago. I am also battling a case with Texas Department of Family Protective Services about my 15 month old daughter. When I was arrested while removing my r.v. from an illegally handled "eviction/lease termination" situation at park on N. Lamar blvd I had given verbal consent to care for my daughter with the arresting officers present to my brother and his wife whom were helping me move the trailer. Only after the manager called my brother and threatened him with a load of b.s. did my brother come out from San Antonio to move the r.v.

So I already explained in the previous part a bit about the current situation. It's Almost Thanksgiving one of those holidays that I loathe because of my lack of family growing up. I mean my mother lived in New Jersey after the state wouldn't let her draw social security because of child support that CPS was after even though they knew she had recently been diagnosed with C.O.P.D., hypoxia, abnormal sleep apnea, clubbing, diabetes, and lung cancer. Depending on where I was placed at the time some of the placements i.e. temporary shelters and group homes had some really cool things that we did like hockey games or the San Antonio Spurs would come out with large donated dinners or presents for Christmas. That's besides the point though...

Released from jail into a world of Pandemia!
Well I am aware that Pandemia is not a word yet... but the state of the world upon my release from incarceration this last April could only be described as such. The Pandemic and the mania etc. was a bit surreal. I mean toilet paper shortages?!? Come on is it really that serious? It sure seems that It is. Or is that all just the media blowing all of this out of proportion to distract the public from something else?
