under quiet hills a spacious house stands alone, wrapped in solitude. Most of us are living with noise and seeking solitude. More so if we are creatures like artists and writers. So, when I spotted this house tucked away in the middle of chaparral, I secretly envied its owner.

Bee and Magnolia
under the blue sky bee sips magnolia nectar— my heart softly blooms. Near our backyard garden, there is a southern magnolia tree that blossoms with giant white flowers in summer. I see honeybees sipping from it, and I feel an intense sense of joy.

Pelicans
a fleet of pelicans on rippling water drift— peace fills my heart now. It was a delightful feeling to see this large flock of pelicans floating on a lake in a mountain town, not far from our home. They sent the message, enjoy doing nothing, in nature, feeling strong in a community.
