Be Careful What You Wish For
Have you ever wanted something for a long, long time and when you finally got what you wanted it was not at all what you thought it would be like? Instead of perfect joy and happiness, you were disappointed and confused? That's happened to me more than once and I'm finally starting to get used to it.

What Honest Planet Would Look Like
What would the world look like if all the lies and deception were gone? What would the world be if instead of cowardice and people who have been taught to "cya" (cover your a&$) at all costs, we actually were told the truth? I don't know, and maybe we will never know, but I suspect that if courage could bring honesty up, real human evolution and civilized progress could occur.

Dear Future President
It's time for another political article because as I surf through Twitter and Youtube I'm seeing post after post about Trump and Kamala. Oy ve and a half. Look what America has been reduced to: Trump, the felon who causes insurrections or Kamala, the brain dead druggie who can't complete an actual real sentence. We are so doomed. Still, if I could vote, I'd give my vote to the felon. At least I can understand him when he speaks.

Faded Glory is not just a clothing brand
I just finished reading an article here on Vocal (https://todaysurvey.shop/journal/the-thing-that-makes-me-most-sad-in-my-work) and it was like listening to a passionate monologue from a peer. Every word I took in, and agreed that the writer made excellent points, yet was certain that I had answers to his questions - mainly why or how does an expert fade out in a once blooming career? I know exactly why and how because I am or at least have been the so-called "expert" that writer is talking about.

Should I write an autobiography?
I wrote poems, stories, and editorials at www.allpoetry.com from 2010 to yesterday. Today for some reason the website doesn't want to load up. Would I be devastated if the website disappeared and I was unable to locate all of my writing for the past 14 years? A bit. But as a writer, it just keeps flowing and often I'm redundant so "new and improved" is really just recycled ideas with a fresher voice and a sharpened skill. It's all good whatever happens, but I'm wondering today if I should really try to put an autobiography book together.

Why did she kill her own baby?
Marisa stood in shock in the bathroom as she stared at the home kit pregnancy test. She was pregnant. She suspected as much when she had missed her period. When she and her boyfriend Dex had sex about a month ago, they had not taken any precautions. She wasn't on the pill anymore because they had stopped having sex when he broke up with her saying she was being too clingy and controlling. Then he showed up at her apartment door, telling her how much he had missed her and how much he loved her and before she knew it they were going at it with what she thought was the best make-up sex of her life. So when she didn't get her period about a week ago, she suspected it. Something was different about the way she felt. It wasn't just a late period. That amazing night of make-up sex had created a baby.

The Football Player and the Cheerleader
It's raining outside at about 4 p.m. on a Monday. I've composed and recorded two songs on my Youtube channel and I just ate a bologna sandwich for an early dinner. I think I'll have ice-cream for desert later when I watch the next episode of House of the Dragon. For now, I'm just sitting here feeling a bit bored, all by myself, and I'm thinking about Tom Brady and that book "50 Shades of Grey". Tom married Gisele. Gisele didn't love Tom even with all his fame and money. Gisele left Tom to face the backlash of the end of his career and the end of his marriage all by himself. Poor Tom.

Don't underestimate Smokers Patronage
Do you know why so many restaurants fail? Do you know why so many people still choose the McDonald's drive-thru over going to your beautiful restaurant with delicious food? It's not the prices. It's not the location. It's not your crew's fault. It's all based on the general consensus of how your restaurant makes guests feel. Why do so many people still choose the drive-thru over attending a restaurant with a lovely dining room even with the best food being served? It's because for a bargain and quick ride they don't have to gamble on more than 5 minutes of being mistreated. What do you call your customers? Guests, customers, patrons, or boss? Most likely you forgot that anyone who has a credit card, cash, or the money that makes your business thrive is one of your bosses. And if any of your bosses are made to feel badly or not included, that's bad for your business.

If you like Chinese food, you'll love Hibachi Buffet
I had dinner with a friend Saturday night at Hibachi Buffet on Gulf to Bay Boulevard in Clearwater. I hadn't been there before and was excited to learn about the place. I was treated so I don't know the exact price but according to other sources online it seems pretty standard, less than 20 for one adult. Believe me, for all that this buffet offers, it's well worth it.

Smut Page 102 - magazine hot story
The air was thick and humid and hot just like the loud Spanish music coming from the large speakers near the dance floor. The club was packed with people wanting to escape their hum-drum lives and live for a passionate moment. The bartenders were rushing trying to fulfill drink orders and the cocktail waitress was buzzing around the tables like a busy bee trying to keep up.
