Splitting Ions In The Ether
This is a randomish review of โAnother Green Worldโ by Brian Eno, a fairly wonderful album that I play regularly. It was released on Island Records in November 1975. Produced by Eno and Rhett Davies, it features contributions from a small core of musicians, including Robert Fripp, Phil Collins, Percy Jones, and Rod Melvin. John Cale plays viola on two tracks.

Last Night, A DJ Shaved My Wife
Did I hear that right? I am sure that we have all been through the same experience with songs that we know and love. We hear a lyric, admire the melody, and then make the mistake of trying to sing it or discuss what we heard in front of a better informed audience.

The Extreme Violence Of Folk Music and Murder Ballads
Introduction I am currently listening to โSweet Childโ by Pentangle, a live album I had for sale on Discogs but have now withdrawn as it is so good. I am sure that they have some violence somewhere in their music but here are a few of my favourites.

A Playlist Of Places. Top Story - September 2022.
Introduction I was wondering if I could create a playlist of songs I love about places, because I love the place or have a great friend who lives there or it is just a beautiful song that makes me want to go there. We all love something that gives us a feeling of warmth, comfort and longing.
