How BROCKHAMPTON Moved Past the Loss of Ameer Vann
Earlier this year, allegations of sexual abuse and misconduct were brought up against Ameer Vann, an original member of BROCKHAMPTON. After more details came to light, the group collectively decided to kick Vann out. This was a forceful decision, one that postponed an album, and cancelled a US tour shows for over a month. The boyband had been growing in popularity and had a lot of momentum, and this looked like it would halt it. But here we are, in August, and they’re doing better than ever.

Bands Definitely Worth Checking Out
If you are out running around at the store looking for some music to check out then I have a few bands for you to look into. These bands are worth the time to listen to. I have personally heard them all and liked what I have heard. First up on the list is a band called Widetrack. These guys have some of their music on YouTube, where you can get a little taste of the music that they play. Some of the music runs with a very calming sound while other songs are on the rock side. The vocals in this group are perfect, with a catch to grasp the audience. When you are listening to the music check lyrics, too.

King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard: All About the Australian Psych Rockers
King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard. The music is just as weird as the name would imply. The seven piece psychedelic rock group from Melbourne, Australia, is composed of Lucas Skinner on bass, Cook Craig and Joey Walker on guitar, drummers Eric Moore and Michael Cavanaugh (Yes, they have two drummers, Eric also doubling as the bands manager, and record label owner), keys, harmonicist, and occasional vocalist Ambrose Kenny Smith, and vocalist, guitarist, bassist, flutist, drummer, songwriter, zurna player, and many, many other credits, Stu Mackenzie. The man is the mastermind behind the group, and is what gives the group their special sauce.

Greta Van Fleet, Zeppelin, and Stealing
Greta Van Fleet have been making the rounds on the internet and the music industry recently, blowing up mostly this year. The band has gotten pretty good coverage, being called the “Rebirth of Rock and Roll” and other fun things like that, but, like most artists, they’ve got some criticism too. “Led Zeppelin Rip-Offs” are usually the most used term thrown around for them and at first listen you can see why. The riffs are similar, the vibe, the chord progressions, and of course the vocals, but is it really fair to put all of this against them? No. It's not.

Legendary Band, Great Music That Is Queen. Top Story - July 2018.
As soon as I heard the song “These Are the Days of Our Lives” I fell head over heels in love with the music of Queen. I had heard their songs on the radio but hadn’t taken the time to really listen to them until this particular song. Even now I enjoy watching videos of Queen through YouTube and watching Freddie Mercury’s dynamite performances always brings a tear to my eye. He was such a great talent and certainly much too young to be taken from this world but the music of Queen and the videos keep him alive and in our minds and in our hearts.
