TikTok; The Future of Music?
Even if you're not an active user of social media, you've probably heard of an app called TikTok. This social media platform took off in the United States in 2017 and has steadily continued to grow in popularity. Users post videos up to 60 seconds in length, showcasing a wide range of subject matter. From comedy skits and "trending" dance routines to makeup artists and photographers sharing their talents, it is a ridiculously entertaining stream of random content that will suck you in. You'll begin scrolling through your "For You" page and suddenly realize 30 minutes have seemingly vanished.

NPR Tiny Desk Concert: A YouTube Channel For Music Discovery. Top Story - December 2019.
It was about 5 years ago when I discovered a niche YouTube channel by NPR Music. This channel is called NPR Music Tiny Desk Concert where artists from all over the charts come and preform in a literal, tiny desk setting. These performances range from new artists to billboard toppers such as Paramore, Hozier, Tyler the Creator, Taylor Swift and Adele, to just name a few. These artists play a small set of 3-4 songs either acoustically or with a band. The first artist that lead me to Tiny Desk Concert was Matty Healy's performance for The 1975 about 6 years ago. Being a huge The 1975 fan, I discovered this acoustic set through their following and with my natural curiosity, I discovered a treasure chest of gold.

Don't Let Anyone Invalidate You as a Fan
I went on a bit of a Twitter rant today. Not uncommon for me, but particularly strange when it comes to the subject matter. You see, I’ve been a fan of something, albeit that “something” always changes, but I’ve always loved something wholeheartedly. That being said, I know what it means to be a fan, and in my opinion, that word gets thrown around far too often.

How to Promote Your Music the Right Way
In today's world where social media is the easiest way to connect with fans, promoting your music as a musician has become easier than ever. You no longer need a label to promote your new releases for you (not that that was a secret). Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, and most other social media platforms have paid promotion within the apps that are available to every user. The only question is; what is the best way to utilize these platforms for the best results?

Most Under-Rated and Upcoming Rappers
We are half way through 2018 as we know it and music has really come along way if you think about it, especially the Rap Genre. Now, I may have only been born in 1999 and most of you could really say that I don't know about the history of music because I haven't lived through it, however, although music has changed within the creativity and music industry - you can clearly see the difference. The only things that have been kind of kept the same are the things which are sang about such as: love, mental issues, murder and alcohol/drugs. In this blog, I will be addressing where rap started and where it is now.

Apple Music vs. Spotify
The long-waited debate of Apple Music vs Spotify has arrived. I have been a user of both Apple Music and Spotify and here is my review over both apps and the pros and cons of each. I took five separate areas to focus on. Apple Music and Spotify both have the same concept of online music streaming for users. One difference is that you can still use Spotify if you are not a Premium owner. You just use your desktop or laptop to download songs and they will download to your app and account. For the sake of argument, I compared Apple Music and Spotify Premium.
