The Transformational Journey: Embracing The Power of Now by Eckhart Tolle
In the realm of self-help and spiritualist literature, few books have left an indelible mark on readers as profoundly as Eckhart Tolle’s The Power of Now. This is not your average self-help book, but it is instead a profound spiritual guide to living in the present moment. Tolle’s work has resonated with countless individuals seeking solace, meaning, and transformation in their lives. Among those individuals, I found myself drawn into Tolle's teachings, experiencing a profound shift in my approach to life. Following this book, I began to explore other teachers in manifestation, quantum physics, and spiritual enlightenment, including Neville Goddard. Through this essay, I will explore how The Power of Now has influenced my mindset and behavior, specifically focusing on how it has prompted me to adopt deliberate and mindful actions and has facilitated a deeper connection between my body and mind.

Pediatric Clinical Skills and Introduction to Epidemiology
As a Licensed Practical Nurse and educator I have just read a textbook entitled 'Pediatric Clinical Skills' Second edition that was written by Richard B. Goldbloom back in 1997. This textbook is actually a textbook for students studying to be registered nurses in some capacity or as a nurse practitioner. It is also a book that covers the various kinds of assessments that cover the whole body and all the systems from head to toe from the respiratory procedures to cardio to reproductive and hormones to the muscles and bones and even the skin.

Egg & Spoon. Top Story - August 2023.
To say that I have been in a bit of a reading slump lately would be an understatement. For whatever reason, perhaps burnout, stress, or just a general sense of apathy, I haven’t been overly motivated to read (or I simply lose my focus after a few short pages).

Living on a Council Estate on the outskirts of London in the late 80s and early 90s, a street-wise, 15-year-old lad from a low-income family discovers a world beyond his concrete jungle. Through this simple gift of three old books by the author, Wilbur Smith a kind neighbour who understood the family's struggles passed on his unwanted items to young Michael. A Contrasting Couple of Book Review Haiku
A few weeks ago, I came across Judey Kalchik’s post about creating haiku with the subject of the poem being a book review. I’ve written a few book reviews, but they were more on the long-form side to fit work as assignments for when I was in my MFA program. And while I’ve wanted to continue writing book reviews, my brain has supplied me with many distractions and worries to keep me from digging into serious book reviewing.
