It was after nine o’clock when Max flipped through the hand of cards in front of him. He looked around the room, reading the faces of his friendly opponents. Picking two blue chips from the table, he tossed them into the pot.

I can see the Hollywood sign in the hills above the city. My chase of the evil demon has led me down many streets of Las Angeles, and now I sense the end is near. Tonight under the Hunter’s Moon, our centuries-old war will conclude.
