Review of West Ham Utd’s Season so Far
Being a dedicated iron, I am hardened to the disappointments of football, and the beginning of the West Ham Utds 18/19 season has provided plenty of that. I’m sure the majority of West Ham fans went into the season with expectations that knew no limits due to the investment from the board and the ambitious appointment of prestigious manager Manuel Pellegrini. But those hopes were quickly deflated by the thrashing at Anfield from a Liverpool side looking to win the title. The game featured many new West Ham signings including; Felipe Anderson, who signed from Italian side Lazio in the summer for a record fee believed to be around 40 million pounds. Ryan Fredericks, a free transfer from newly promoted side Fulham. Lukasz Fabianski, a steal from Swansea, and Fabian Balbuena who signed for a fee of around 3.5 million pounds from Brazil. The Paraguay international did not shine in the thrashing despite being dubbed the Brazilian Ramos by some foreign fans. The Liverpool beating was a kick back down to earth for the entire team and fans as the expectations got the better of them.

Are AFC Bournemouth a Potential Candidate for European Football in 2019?
AFC Bournemouth has made their best start to a Premier League campaign in their fourth Premier League campaign season by gaining 10 points from their opening five games in the Premier League, leaving them in a Europa League spot. Bournemouth's latest win came at home with a comfortable victory over the 2015/16 season champions, Leicester City, in a 4-2 thriller at the Vitality Stadium. The opening goals saw a brace from Ryan Fraser, followed by Josh King who converted from the penalty spot after a handball saw the Cherries go into the break with a 3-0 lead. Right back, Adam Smith added to the Cherries' tally, firing home into the bottom left-hand corner, giving the Danish keeper no chance. However, flashbacks from previous seasons saw the Bournemouth defence switch off as they conceded two late goals from James Maddison and Marc Albrighton in the space of two minutes.

Tottenham Hotspur 1-2 Liverpool Liverpool's impressive start to the season continues with a fine win over Spurs. It's not been a fantastic week for the North London club, with captain Hugo Lloris convicted of drink driving and sentenced to a 20 month drinking ban and a £50,000 fine. Shortly after his conviction, he picked up a thigh injury which ruled him out of this weekend's fixture. In steps Michel Vorm, whose errors contributed to Liverpool's victory. Spurs were sloppy in possession, often giving the ball away. Lucas Moura missed a decent chance to put Spurs ahead before Wijnaldum and Firmino gave Liverpool a two-goal lead. Lamela pulled one back with a fine strike in injury time, but it was Jurgen Klopp's men who returned to Merseyside with all three points. Liverpool were touted pre-season as the most realistic challenger to Manchester City's dominance, and on the basis of this performance, it's not too hard to see why.

Is Romelu Lukaku as Good as Didier Drogba?
After 104 Premier League goals in 224 games, Romelu Lukaku equalled Didier Drogba's league goal haul. However, it took the Ivorian 30 games more, leaving them both with just less than 0.5 goals a game. The Ivorian has 54 league assists, whilst Lukaku has 35. These stats show that Drogba was a slightly better creator than Lukaku, but Lukaku's finishing is his slightly superior talent.

A 1-0 win at home against Brighton, thanks to a Mohammed Salah goal, proceeded the record-securing game, a 2-1 win against Leicester City.

Watford Maintain a Perfect Start
How did they perform last season? Javi Gracia's team finished at an underwhelming 14th position in the 2017/2018 table standings after he took over the reins from Marco Silva. A few moments of brilliance in the last season especially the win over Chelsea was not enough for the team to maintain the winning morale throughout the entire season, and the Hornets' performance plunged miserably. By the end of the season, there were active speculations of Gracia to be the first manager to be sacked during the coming season but Watford will be happy that it did not go to that end.
