Initiation
Tom diverged from his usual path home from work. Normally, he would exit the glass doors, making sure to hold it open for any cute coworkers leaving at the same time. He worked at the publishing house for seven years now, working his way up to an Editor-in-Chief position, of which there were only four. He had several employees working under him, but of course, there were still more above. Regardless, he had advanced along his career path, always coming home with the intentions of working on his own novel. But, after feeding his nine year old cat, Greg, walking on the treadmill for thirty minutes, and preparing supper, he was in no mood to continue the story of Hernando’s rebels in the Spanish plains. He had good intentions.

The Trouble With Bernie
The Trouble with Bernie Dearest Marksmen of Historical Accuracy, Campbell River, it must be noted, is almost as far away from anything as a person can get in North America. It's not as far away as say, Horsefly, or Castlegar, or Duncan, and not nearly as far away as Fair Harbour; yet if we are being honest, which in all honesty we hope very much to be accepted as such, Campbell River is not as close to anything as Vancouver is, certainly light years away from Kelowna's proximity to any and all action, to say nothing of Kamloops and Prince George.

One Night
A door slammed, echoing down the long hallway, to a bedroom on the back of the house! Startled, Phoebe awakens quickly from a deep sleep. What was that?! A door slammed – someone is in her house! Quietly, she climbs out of bed and walks down the long hallway toward the front of the house, knowing it like the back of her hand, she easily moves through the inky darkness. An odd clinking sound and several short light flashes greet her, as she rounds the corner into the Dining room/Living room area. The outside dust-to-dawn light shines through the dining room windows illuminating the dark silhouette of a man standing there!

Roses
Three men were gathered around an open trunk, two of them exchanging glances with the locals walking on the sidewalks, while the other opened a case. There was a mother with two little boys walking on either side of her. She wore a purple dress. The boys were in street clothes and both wore a peaked cap.

Black Book
Chapter 1 Humble Beginnings Every day starts off just the same, the sun rises up, I stretch my body as long as I can , wiggle my feet , and start my day. Life was so much easier when I was a child and didn't have to worry about getting up to do anything but go to school. Now things have changed and I have a career and people depending on me to money in their pocket and food in their families mouth. Big responsibility, I know. I feed them and in turn they feed me more. Just how it works.

Black Light
“Are you planning on leaving your bottom half here? ‘Cause all of you ain’t leaving.” Bright lights above swirl endlessly. Before all was well, the party was almost perfect, aside from being packed in a sardine can with a bunch of high and drunk-- just turned twenty-one-- kiddos. Now, suddenly the constant headache-inducing flashes have me feeling nauseated.
