A much-needed, more diverse update to a beloved franchise. Golden intentions, but untrue to the characters in a way that makes the storylines ring hollow. This revival needs to lean into its stars’ long-developed personalities and sense of motivation in order to make their mid-life transformations feel satisfying.

Lovely choice and critique! I thought they hadn’t changed the characters at all… only I had changed how I viewed them. Like my evolution had altered my perception of them… ?

  • Oh I never knew this had a spin off. Loved your review!

  • Good, helpful review. My wife watched all of "Sex & the City" with our son (who was a huge fan), & I picked up quite a bit of it along the way. Sorry to here that this doesn't live up to the hopes we might have had for it.
