Is it fact or merely fiction? Fact or Fiction explores the myths and beliefs we hold about our family dynamics, traditions, and if there's such thing as a 'perfect family.'
In Case I’m Not Here
From a moment I thought we would be together forever. As I thought maybe in matrimony that from anybody being sick would survive anything. I mean when my mom was married to my father and she got cancer she survived. They both survived in fact. When he had that heart attack a few years ago she strengthened them back to health. They were still together even after I left college. I didnt realize that I , me, would be burying my best friend, my lover, my cherish tree ( because he was tall and can touch the tree ) Out of all people... why him? I suppose to be dead . Not him. I’m the one who had cancer and he got me my strength back and was working to the bone to keep us all in order. I dont understand nor I cannot fathom this situation.

Black Raven
The snow falling since early morning was slowly transforming the view from her window. A white blanket of fluff covering the branches, the hedges and the street created a dreamlike scenery. Her gaze was fixed on the dancing snowflakes, she felt numb and tired. The knocking sound coming from the door brought Daniella’s attention back to her one-bedroom appartement. She glanced around, feeling unsure about whether she would be answering. Her eyes were puffy and red, she was not expecting anyone, and she was certainly not in the mood for company. The visitor kept knocking, insistent. She slowly made her way to the door, opening it to find a stranger standing before her. He immediately shoved a letter towards her, turned on his heels and headed towards the staircase leading back down to the front door. No hello, no goodbye, quite rude she thought.

The Little Black Book
As Cashmere picked up the small package, she looked around and wondered who could have left it at the entrance of her townhouse. Tucking it under her arm, she unlocked the door, entered and placed it with the daily mail and her keys on the kitchen counter. Removing her layered clothing on the way to her bedroom, she wanted a hot shower to wash away the tension of the day from her body and mind after working eight hours as a claims adjuster for CitiData. Toweled-dried and feeling somewhat refreshed, she wrapped her body in a soft robe, then poured herself a glass of wine and sat on one of the cushioned bar stools at the counter.

Umbrage Unseen

Little Black Book
Lillian woke up at 6:00 a.m. on Saturday morning. Her body ached and her mind felt cloudy. She couldn't determine if it was daytime or night time. She decided that she just couldn't lie in the bed any longer and would get up and make coffee. Maybe the sun would rise and if not, it didn't matter anyway. She had no where to go and no one to see. She would either sit up for awhile or go back to bed.

Sarah Watson's inheritance
Sarah walked out of her deceased father's attorney's office in the CBD with the little green box, which contained a little black book and the check for $20,000 from Commonwealth Bank. She was not sure what will she find. Sarah crossed Martin Place's pathway looking for her car. When she finally gets into the car, she cannot wait to open the box and check what was inside. Sarah already knew how she would use the money from her inheritance. The chestnut hair woman would probably use it to start a new business venture, especially after closing her coffee shop due to the Covid19 pandemic.

The Molly Maguires Club
Randi was frantic. Panicked. Every textbook. Every notebook. Her gym bag. Her pencil case. Every last thing from her locker spilled out onto the gray tile of the floor. She sank to her knees. Held her head in her hands and tried to steady her breathing that was coming hard and irregular. Her face reddened and beads of sweat quivered on her upper lip.
