Thanksgiving Meals
Great Matches That Go Well Together
Thanksgiving is coming up this month. There are several thoughts that pass through my mind for this holiday. This day is a time to give thanks. People gather around to say what they are grateful for. Each family has different traditions during the holidays. These get passed on to each generation to carry them through the years of life. Over the years I have seen families just use this holiday as a way to connect with each other. Families use this day to connect with each other is to talk while making the family meal. The families also bond with each other while learning from each other.
This day is a day for everyone to catch up with one another. Everyone gets to learn what they have missed. All of the family's favorite foods for the holiday get made on this day. This is the time when the pictures come in to capture all the traditions that will go on to the next generation. All of these moments are there in pictures for later in life. The holidays are full of artwork made with food. There are people who claim that they are not an artist but in the holidays they are. Some of the most beautiful creations get made with food.
Each year these artists have a fresh canvas to create something new to add in with all the other canvas gathered over the years. When I say canvas, I mean the place where the food gets placed together. The pictures taken are where the canvas gets saved for keeping. Every person has their favorite foods and drinks that they like to have on Thanksgiving. There is peanut butter fudge covered with cranberry sauce. A good drink to go with this mix might be a cranberry cocktail or a mix of peanut butter and cranberry drink. Another good food would be green bean casserole over cornbread. This food mix may easily be changed around to a green bean casserole cocktail with some cornbread to munch on. Cornbread covered with cream of turkey is another good mix to go with the green bean casserole cocktail. Turkey stuffing with mashed potatoes and gravy is a delicious mix. Any drink could go with these foods it just depends on the person who is eating the meal.
If someone wants to get really creative, they may make a cheese ball in the shape of a turkey with a variety of vegetables on the side. The drink that someone might choose for this would be wine. The wine would depend on the person who was eating the food as well. My favorites for the holiday meal would include turkey and pumpkin pie. I just do not think it feels like the holiday without these to foods added in. I like to have tea or water with a lot of food. Sometimes there will be a soda or juice instead. It all depends on what I am eating and what I am in the mood to have that tastes good with the food. I like cornbread with mashed potatoes over the top and a side order of cooked vegetables. Sometimes there is a gravy turkey dressing over the mashed potatoes. No matter what I eat I always have to have a tiny piece of pumpkin pie. The items that are in this article are only a few of the duos of food and drink used on the holiday. If you are in need of some items to make on Thanksgiving then just look up the foods used for that holiday. There are a lot of tasty foods to choose from.
