Adventure
Traveling Through Darkness
Why can't I breathe? What's happening? The bag of chips I was holding falls from my trembling hands onto my bedroom floor. I gasp in deep breaths of air. Am I losing my mind? Minutes creep by like hours. Finally, my back falls hitting my soft carpet. I grip the floor and a few tears leave my eyes. What's happening? Is that normal? I don't think that's normal...i'll just keep this to- “Hello there, having trouble are we?” My eyes widen and my back slowly pulls off the floor.

Frost and Flame
PART 1: FROST It was a beautiful morning despite the cloudy blanket of gray that covered the sky. As I tilted my face upward, I could feel the light, small snowflakes fall on my cheeks as they trickled down from the sky. A chilly wind swept by me, causing me to shiver. But I didn't care. The landscape was gorgeous, with a thick layer of snow that covered both the ground and the trees.

Welcome to HEATHERGATE
It has been two weeks since Garrett started carefully watching the workers on the field at the bottom of the creek. This creek starts at the top of the backdrop of Mount Geneve, for some reason Garrett sensed that something was wrong. Typical man, dressed up with dark brown trousers and jacket, slim built dark brown jacket, he looked like Indiana Jones to me. No whip, no hat.

Skimmer
The cool early spring night was nearly over. The moon had set almost two hours before, and the dark had settled in the velvety corners of a quiet suburban street. The loudest sound was the gentle burbling of the swimming pool pump, which had been started up just a few days before. The water was mostly still on its surface, with small clumps of sodden leaves gently eddying in the darkness from the current below.

Missing in Time
Friday morning, April 9, 2021, two weeks since you went missing. My life has been rotting to its core since you left. No matter what I do or where I look there is no trace of you. Where have you gone? Why did you leave me? Will I ever see you again? These are only half the questions running through my brain since that afternoon I went to our lunch spot only to wait two hours for you to never show up. We always have lunch on Fridays to celebrate the upcoming weekend. The last time I actually talked to you was the night before around 8 p.m. to make sure we were still on for lunch. Nothing from our conversation made me think you weren’t going to show up. After waiting two hours I decided to go to your apartment to see what was going on, but you weren’t anywhere to be found. Your phone was still on the nightstand charging. It is as if you vanished into thin air.

Parrots, pirates and poachers
In every pirate's story, there is always one of us perched on those rascal's shoulders. We looked so happy. Maybe some of us were, but the majority of us were either stolen or forced to be out on the open sea where there was nowhere else to be than on a pirate ship in the middle of some ocean somewhere.
