Adventure
Heart of Gold
Amari struggled to keep stride with her older sister as she was pulled along the beaten sidewalk. Her small legs ached and burned as weariness began to set in on her body. Imani was fully aware of her younger sister's slowed pace, but she knew they couldn’t stop. They had to get to a safe place. They didn’t have time to stop and rest or catch their breaths.

Finding home
No one would have predicted things would turn out this way. Years of pollution and toxic waste turning animals into vile, vicious creatures. Many of us took to the sea in order to survive while the braver or probably more reckless people stayed to fight. My mother was among those brave souls. I don't know much about my mother. She put me on a ship with my aunt when I was only five, and now the only thing I have to remember her by is her golden heart locket. It's been ten years since the fight ended and if not for the locket I surely would have forgotten my mother's face by now. Only now are we risking heading back to the shore to try and salvage what is left of our old lives.

The Heart’s Truth
My heart pounded in my ears as I reached the top of the staircase. I held my breath and listened for any movement behind me. I did not think I was being followed, but it was only a matter of time before the Council would come searching for me. “This is not a kingdom I want any part in ruling,” I thought to myself. Looking over my shoulder into the familiar shadows below, the fear I felt was replaced with anger. The network of caverns and tunnels that I had always known as “home”, now seemed nothing more than a glorified dungeon. I took in a deep breath and allowed that anger to fuel my actions. The air felt heavy as I slid through the old, barracaded passage to my left and kept moving through the darkness as quietly as possible.

SKYLANDERS
REPORT FROM SILVERWING: “We’re the good guys. Our ancestors went above and beyond the call of duty to battle an intergalactic mob boss. That heritage makes us VALIANT! The denizens of Sixth Earth trust our authority for the most part. The Underdwellers still require our persuasion; and the Aquatitans, despite our best bids for their support, have not chosen aside. The Aquatitans have yet to choose to be our allies in a benevolent rule over Sixth Earth; I have not lost enough hope to declare them our enemies. Yet.
